Spark Lancer is the sixth boss from Thunder Force IV.

Spark Lancer appears as a lance-shaped drone with two lance-like arms attached to it. Its main method of attacking is to dash forward to ram the player, during which time it constantly releases energy balls which split in four but can be destroyed. It will keep this pattern even after the arms are destroyed, using a fire blast to the top and bottom when the player is close. After taking enough damage it will stop dashing and stay floating in the middle of the screen while launching energy balls which circle around it clockwise. If enough damage is dealt, it will slowly sink to the ice bottom before exploding.
