Space Dog is the final stage from Thunder Force II.

This stage takes place above a huge lava pit where the space fortress Plealos is docked. Here the player must maneuver around the floating structures and destroy the four cores around the fortress. Unlike other top-down stages here the player can hit them with the regular weapons instead of having to rely on the ground-based shots. Once the cores are destroyed Plealos will take-off into space and the boss fight begins.
