Plealos (プレアレオース Purearōsu?), also known as Superweapon Battle Fortress Plealos (超兵器戦闘要塞プレアレオース Chōheiki Sentō Yōsai Purearōsu?) is the final boss from Thunder Force II.

Plealos is a huge battle fortress built by the ORN Empire with the power to obliterate a planet. The entire mission of the game is to dive into the planet Nebula and destroy Plealos while it was still docked inside one of the planet's underground layers.
Plealos is the only boss of the game which is fought in a top-down stage. After the player takes down the four cores around the fortress it must move into the upper portion where the fortress's main cannon and weak spot is located. It is protected by a series of turrets and will also fire lasers upwards continuously.
