Judgement Sword (Also spelled as Judgment Sword) is the antepenultimate stage from Thunder Force V.
Details[]
This stage takes place high above the Earth, where the Vambrace engages in battle against the Sword Fleet. The player begins the level controlling the Brigandine, which has a health meter in the bottom-left. By using its powerful laser the player can easily plow through the many enemy waves. Close to the end of the level the Guardian-controlled Rynex will engage the player before leaving and returning for the boss fight.
Trivia[]
- While the Sega Saturn version proceeds directly to the final stage, the PlayStation version features a cutscene where the RVR Vambrace enters inside the Judgement Sword and the virtual maze that Guardian/Khaos created.
- Originally, it is meant to be playable using Gauntlet as its main ship in the early builds. The artwork supports the earlier version of the stage before implementing changes to introduce Vambrace, which is attached to Brigandine, in this stage instead of Stage 6.
