Gaiya Beast (ガイヤ・ビースト) is the third boss from Thunder Force II.
Details[]
Gaiya Beast appears as a mutant worm creature. It constantly moves on the ground, either forward or backward, stopping to release multiple spores from its head. Though this is its only actual attack the boss will be constantly aided by flying drones which come from the right and shoot at the player in the X68000 version and by worms which appear in the ceiling and shoot a bullet spread in the Mega Drive version. Its exposed brain is its weak point.
