Base Guarder is the penultimate boss from Thunder Force III.

Base Guarder appears as a laser emplacement turret. It is protected by two barriers which must be destroyed first, after which it begins shooting lasers forward. The boss is aided by four large boxes which move horizontally and vertically around the room, reducing the player's mobility.
