Ancient Ruins is the fifth (fourth in the Mega Drive ver.) top-down stage from Thunder Force II.

This stage takes place above a ancient temple city. The entire area is littered with guardian statues which shoot at the player. The player also has to navigate around floating walls like other top-down stages and carve a path through suspended vegetation.
