Air Raid is the third stage from Thunder Force IV.
Details[]
This stage takes place on the skies above Aquaria, where a large Vios fleet is mobilizing to attack the Federation. During the level the player must maneuver around the fleet ships, destroying their turrets which constantly shoot at the player as well as smaller enemies. Towards the end of the first phase, several of the fleet's ships will be shot down by allied missiles.
During the second phase of the level the scrolling will speed up, forcing the player to zigzag around the fleet ships while fending off enemies.
Trivia[]
- Air Raid is the only level in Thunder Force IV that doesn't have a mid-boss. Other stages have at least one mid-boss (with Strite and Ruin having two on Maniac Difficulty and Wall having eight)
